Thing # 10

Was very easy to use. I found a book called "The 24 Hour Turnaround - a formula for permanent weight loss, antiaging and optimal health".
I bet you won't recognize me the next time you see me.

Thing #9, World Cat

World Cat was really easy to work with and it totally took me by surprise. Earlier today I searched on our OCL catalog for a NEW CD and was unable to locate it. I searched in World Cat and it was available this afternoon thru OCL. I was amazed that World Cat had this information available and was easily able to go to Polaris and place a hold.

Thing #8

Set up an account with LibraryThing.... found it very interesting that over 18,000 people were connected to the tag travel. Found some very interesting book titles that sparked my interest.

Thing 7

I checked out carrot and bing. Both were really easy to use. I have seen bing before. Both sites seemd to pull up the same information that I searched. Fun

Thing 6

Just completed the google advance domain. This will be really helpful especially since so many students will be studying New Jersey and it narrows your search.

Thing #5

I checked out City tours. I think I will really use this alot. It's great to be able to pin point restaurants and points of interest before I travel. I wish I had known about this last week. We were in Portland, Maine and didn;t know where to eat. If I had searched city tours, I would have been able to locate several different restaurants.

RSS Thing 4

Searched google reader. found a frommers sight that sounded interesting and also subscribed to J. Petrowski's sight from theIndiana Colts. Whhohoo
I don;t think I will ever use this RSS...I have too much other work to do

Craigslist & Kayak Thing #3

Craigslist is really cool. Found an awesome job for my husband. The company only posted the position for one day and he was lucky enough to get it. the site was very easy to use.
I have also used it to look for some knicknacks around the yard.

I also checked out Kayak for planning my next trip to Mexico. It gives you all the flights and prices for many airlines. Makes traveling a breeze.
